LIFE ABROAD

Amiens is a young and dynamic city just an hour by train from Paris and know for it’s rich history, including the location where Jules Verne himself found inspiration.

LIVE

Live in the CROUS residence alongside other French and International students. All Exchange students live in a studio room with an attached bathroom. Commuting to campus takes 10-15 minutes walking or by public transportation depending on the faculty where your courses take place.

DINE

Students receive a stipend which can be used to cook meals in the shared kitchens in the student residences, dine at the cafeteria on campus, or occasionally eat out. Don’t pass up the opportunity to try the traditional simple yet delicious, Ficelle picarde or have a Gâteau battu for the afternoon goute!

EXPERIENCE

Take a relaxing boat tour of the Hortillonnages, stroll through the old town shopping district, or explore one of the festive markets throughout your semester.

THRIVE

Make new friends by enrolling in the Buddy System and get paired with a local French student. Join one of the many events hosted by the international office. Share your culture by tutoring a local student in your native language.

All ISEP students have the opportunity to teach English at local high schools and assist professors at the Center of Foreign Languages on campus. This is an excellent way for students to become integrated into the French education system! Students can even earn ECTS credits for their volunteer work.

SCHOLARSHIP

This program qualifies for the ISEP French and German Language Annette Kade Fund Scholarship. The scholarship awards $500 - $1,500 USD to students who are from a U.S. institution and studying French or German language in Austria, France, Germany, Reunion Island, or Switzerland. Learn more here!
