Study in France (in English, French) - ISEP Exchange
Home of one of the largest 13th-century gothic cathedrals in France and among some of the most famous World War I battlefields, Amiens offers a rich cultural life and interesting quartiers for students to explore. Université de Picardie Jules Verne is the ideal university for an ISEP student hoping to take French language courses with a few university courses alongside French students. French language courses are offered in addition to regular university classes each semester for all levels. Students usually supplement language study with university courses. French language courses are also offered to students during the first two weeks of their stay as part of the orientation program.
All ISEP students have the opportunity to teach English at local high schools and assist professors at the Center of Foreign Languages on campus. This is an excellent way for students to become integrated into the French education system! Students can even earn ECTS credits for their volunteer work.
HOUSING AND MEALS
ISEP students live in a university residence hall and receive a meal stipend.
Course Description
Choose university courses from the course catalog.
Third and fourth year students may be able to enroll in Master’s level courses even if they are only undergraduate students themselves as long as they meet the course prerequisites.
While almost all courses are taught in French at Université de Picardie Jules Verne, students can choose from several courses taught in English from the following catalog. Students may select courses from a variety of departments and can combine French courses with English courses. Please note that it is unlikely a student would be able to enroll exclusively in English-taught courses. A B1 in French is required for all students regardless of the language of instruction.
In addition to the English-taught courses in the fields of English as a foreign language, International Management, Business Management Marketing, Law, and Education, students have the opportunity to choose from courses such as:
- Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion (for advanced students in the fall semester only)
- Agrosciences, environment, landscape, territories and forests (for advanced students in the fall semester only)
- Cartooning and Graphic Novels (Undergraduate)
- History of Modern Art (Masters)
- Introduction To Modern Economics (Undergraduate)
