By combining the practice of French with thematic curriculum, international summer courses (CIE) at the Université de Caen offer a unique summer immersion into French culture alongside students from all over the world. Optional excursions are offered on weekends, and students have the opportunity to stay in a University Residence or with a host family. The program offers a great opportunity to discover the rich cultural and historic heritage of Normandy!

The program is session is three weeks in length and grants the equivalent of 6 U.S. credits.

Students also participate free of charge in one of the two one-day excursions offered on the weekend. Pending availability, students may attend the second excursion for an additional €30 fee.

Students participating in this program may choose between two types of housing, a homestay or a single room on an on-campus university residence.

For students choosing to live with a host family, 14 meals per week (breakfast and dinner daily) are included in the housing cost.

Meals are not included in the program cost for students electing to live in the student residence, with students expected to use their own funds for meals.

ISEP students should budget for their meals accordingly. Lunches and dinners can be taken at the university cafeteria for 5.95€ per meal and there are communal cooking facilities in the university residences. Students and can ask their ISEP Student Services Coordinator for tips, as well as check out ISEP's resources for Budgeting for Study Abroad
