Ewha International Exchange & Study Abroad Program (in English) - ISEP Exchange
Open to both male and female exchange participants, Ewha University offers a dynamic location just 10 minutes from South Korea’s capital city. Centrally located in East Asia, Seoul is a global city, integrating traditional and contemporary life.
Students who want to know what it means to live like a local in all areas of the country will have no excuse not to when the transportation is as brilliant as it is in Seoul. There really are no excuses for not exploring nearby towns will charming arts and culture. Just a short distance to the west, you can access Incheon’s port – where the modern world entered Korea. Just south, you’ll run into Suwon, most known for its World Heritage fortifications built by Joseon dynasty ruler King Jeongjo.
Inside the classroom, students have the opportunity to study across a variety of different fields and also further their language skills through the intensive Korean language program on campus. Outside of the classroom, students can take advantage of the buddy program, participate in cultural parties, and view Korean arts and performances. Students are sure to improve their Korean and make lasting memories at Ewha University.
Course Description
Students can enroll in English or Korean-taught offerings, provided they are proficient enough to participate. Use the course availability link to access Ewha's English-taught and Korean-taught lecture schedule. Click the first, then the second link for English-taught lectures to reach the course database.
To view a list of all classes, select the most recent semester that corresponds to the one you plan to attend. Semester 1 is Spring, semester 2 is Fall. From there, click "Excel" to download a spreadsheet of all courses for that semester, or use the drop-down options to find specific courses with clickable syllabus information.
Ewha also offers Korean language courses during their program.
Course Availability
Undergraduate: General courses are available
Restriction may apply to Art & Design, Music, ELTEC Engineering, Scranton Honors Program
Nursing, medicine, pharmacy, education are not available
Graduate: General courses are available
Some courses in the Graduate School of International Studies are available.
English-taught courses of School of Law are available.
Courses in the Graduate School of Business courses are available for graduate students only.
The Professional Schools, the Special Graduate Schools are not available, except those mentioned above.

Other Academic Conditions
Due to housing restrictions, Exchange students can only enroll for single semesters. Only Direct students can enroll for a Full Year placement.
Applicants must have completed one full semester at their home university before applying to Ewha and must have the equivalent of a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
