LIVE and DINE
Stay in a fully furnished single room in a co-ed apartment just minutes from campus, where you’ll share bathrooms and a communal kitchen with the rest of your floor. Housing and meals are covered by your monthly stipend; Tilburg’s International Office pays your rent directly, and you’ll receive the remaining balance to cover additional expenses. Be sure to try Dutch favorites like kroket (crispy meat-filled roll), poffertjes (fluffy mini pancakes), and stroopwafels (caramel-filled waffle cookies) while you’re studying in Tilburg.

Course Description
While the official language of the university is Dutch, Tilburg University offers a wide variety of courses taught in English from Business and Economics to Psychology or Computer Science.
Students are encouraged to take Dutch language courses can take up to 12 ECTS per semester of the language in courses such as Discovering Dutch or Dutch I for International students
Credits Earned
Students who complete the program in good standing can expect to earn 24-30 ECTS per semester. Students typically enroll in about 4-6 classes per semester. A semester is broken into two blocks. To determine how these credits convert at your home institution, please contact your home university coordinator.

Certificate Programs
ISEP students can receive Certificates in several fields of study. Students that pass all courses that belong to a certificate program will receive their transcript and additionally the certificate.
Certificates offered in the Fall semester are in the fields of Accountancy, Finance, Marketing, Management, Information and Supply Chain Management, Economics, and Entrepreneurship. Certificates offered in the spring semester include the field of Data Science.

All candidates should be entering their third year of study at the time of application. Most courses are intended for students who have completed entry level coursework, at least four or five courses, in their major field prior to exchange.
Students interested in the business program must be declared majors and have completed eight to ten business courses at the time of application, including one upper-level math course.

Business
Students interested in the business program must be declared majors and have completed 8-10 business courses at the time of application, including one upper-level math course.
ACADEMIC CALENDAR
- Please note that the academic calendar at Tilburg University is divided into two semesters (Fall and Spring) with two 'Blocks’ per semester. Courses can span one or multiple blocks.

- The Fall schedule contains courses listed in Block 1 and Block 2 and runs from Late August through Mid January
• Exams end before Christmas or in January depending on Faculty. It may be possible to return home early and arrange exams remotely if necessary. Exam schedules are not finalized until the beginning of the semester. *
- The Spring schedule contains courses listed in Block 3 and Block 4 and runs from Late January through Mid-June with Exams taking place in Late May into June.
*NOTE: It is the student's responsibility to make all plans if selecting a distance exam. Neither ISEP nor your Host Coordinators can make these arrangements for you.
MEDICAL SERVICES IN TILBURG: There is currently a lot of pressure on General Practitioner (GP) services in Tilburg. Students with pre-existing medical conditions who know they may need regular medical attention are advised to start looking for a GP with available spaces before their arrival in Tilburg.
Similarly, students who take regular medication are advised to stock up on their prescribed medication in their home country, and to bring enough medication to Tilburg to last them at least a few weeks. It is wise to check with the airline or travel operator how much medication is allowed on board.
BANK ACCOUNT:

PASSPORT: All students must have a valid passport to participate in this program. If you do not have a valid passport, we suggest you start the application process as soon as possible.
VISA/RESIDENCE PERMIT: Most students attending this program will be required to obtain a visa/residence permit. For more information on the process and estimated cost, please review the ISEP Country Handbook here.
