As an ISEP student, you can build your own program by choosing your courses from a variety of fields. Use the notes for course searching to help you find which courses are available.

The University of Debrecen offers a number of English language programs, mainly in the fields of English and North American studies, natural sciences, computer science, engineering, business and economics, gender studies, drama studies and British studies. Additional courses may be started on demand and one on one tutorials may be given to students with specific needs. Students may also contact professors directly prior to admission with course requests.

Students live in double rooms in a dormitory.

Students receive a monthly meal stipend. Students may purchase meals at the university restaurants or prepare their own food; grocery stores are close by. Accomodations include cooking facilities.

Other Academic Conditions

Qualified undergraduate students may be eligible to take graduate level courses on a case by case basis.

Non-native English speaker students will be interviewed through Skype to confirm their level of English. Students should be able to demonstrate English language skills equivalent to the B2 level according to the Common European Framework Of Reference for Languages.

Due to the location of courses and Hungarian academic system, cross-registration across faculties/departments may be difficult. Students intending to take courses from a variety of disciplines should be aware that timetables may clash across faculties, and are encouraged to take the majority of their courses within one faculty.

Students should be aware that most exams take place during January for the fall semester. In many cases early examination arrangements are possible, however students are responsible for making these arrangements with their professors on an individual basis.

When selecting courses, please keep in mind the semester in which each course is offered. The bulletins will indicate the semesters in which a course is offered in one of two ways.

1. Sem = Semester

- Sem 1 = Fall

- Sem 2 = Spring

2. Autumn Semester = Fall and Spring Semester = Spring
