Course Description

Loyola University New Orleans (Loyola) has a broad range of course offerings from business, to liberal arts, to visual and performing arts, law & criminal studies, and physical sciences. For unique fields of study, consider Loyola's courses in forensic chemistry, digital filmmaking, hip hop & RnB, jazz studies, and popular and commercial music. All courses available to ISEP students are taught in English and at the undergraduate level.

Internships, undergraduate research, service-learning, and volunteer opportunities are open to ISEP students. Internships are available with permission of the Center for International Education. Students are responsible for finding their own internship opportunities and can use the Loyola Career Development Center for assistance. Loyola University Community Action Program (LUCAP) offers volunteering opportunities. Some courses at Loyola have internships and/or service-learning built into the coursework. Students who want to volunteer for credit must alert their ISEP SSO for further approval and may need to be processed as Academic Training.

Undergraduate research is available through specific courses in varying fields of study. Other undergraduate research opportunities depend on the department and professor's engagement and connection with students. Students studying at Loyola for a full academic or calendar year are best set up to do longer and more thorough research.

Please contact your ISEP Student Services Officer for additional information on internships, research, and more.
