The following fields of study are recommended for undergraduates: business, English, computer science, fine arts, forestry, liberal arts, life sciences, mathematics and social sciences. The following are recommended for graduate students: business management, business administration, English, environmental studies, public administration and resource conservation.
HOUSING
Lewis and Clark Village features 2-and 3-bedroom apartments with private bedroom, and shared kitchen, living room, and bathroom between roommates. The apartment comes furnished. Married students will stay in Family Housing and pay the cost difference with their own money. Please notify UM’s host coordinator if this type of arrangement is necessary.
MEALS
Students will receive a meal stipend equivalent to a semester meal plan delivered in total at the beginning of the semester.
During periods when Dining Services are closed (Thanksgiving and part of spring break), those students staying in Missoula will be provided with meals.
*Calendar Year students are not eligible for ISEP housing or meal benefits over the summer break
Course Description

Course information for future semesters may be incomplete or unavailable prior to the start of the semester. Fall course schedules are typically posted in April; Spring course schedules are typically posted in October.

Credits Earned:
Each course at UM is generally worth 3 - 4 US credits (6 - 8 ECTS). A 3-credit class meets approximately 3 hoours per week. Labs will generally have 2 - 3 more class houors per week.
For Undergraduate studies, students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits and may take up to 15 credits to be a full-time student and comply with their visa status. For Graduate studies, students must take a minimum of 9 credits worth of classes to be considered a full-time student.

Select the field of study by clicking on the name of the program. Read the program webpage for more details about the degree program.
For more specific details about which courses are offered as part of the degree, search the Course Catalogue. Select the program of study and click on the "Requirements" tab to see the exact courses offered. Click on the course name (e.g., "ACTG 201", "SOCI 202", etc.) for more details about the course.
Certain syllabi may be available in advance to prospective students; contact your ISEP Student Services Officer for more details.
Course Restrictions:
Some courses carry special course fees such as lab fees which are noted in the online Class Schedule system. These fees are not included in ISEP benefits.
If the student's TOEFL score is below 92 Ibt (580 PBT) or the IELTS score is below 7.0, students may be required to complete English as a Second Language course(s) before they can take courses in their major. Please note that individual departments may have established their own minimum scores.
One of the following is required for admission as a visiting student to UM Law School: a minimum score of 100 Ibt (250 CBT or 600PBT) on the TOEFL, 6.5 on IELTS, or 84 on MELAB. Applicants for Law School should also submit a completed UM Law School Application for Admission.
Graduate degree programs are available to ISEP students only if admitted in advance of arrival. Graduate-level exchange students will be considered non-degree students.
