PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

• Experience the charm and hospitality of Midwestern culture while living in La Crosse, WI, a city situated on the Mississippi River between Wisconsin and Minnesota.

• Study at a top-ranked public university known for its offerings in business, communication, and computer and information sciences.

• Prioritize your mental well-being with on-campus counseling centers and plenty of open, green spaces where you can relax and unwind.

LIVE and DINE

Enjoy the privacy of a single room in an apartment-style suite in Reuter Hall, where you’ll share a kitchen, living room, and bathroom with three other students, or opt to live in a shared room with two roommates in Eagle Hall, where you’ll have access to common areas which include a microwave, sink, table, chairs, and TV area shared among the students in your “house” (a group of 7-8 suites). Visit one of the nearby on-campus dining halls or cafes, including A9 eatery which specializes in allergy-friendly meals. While in Wisconsin, be sure to sample all the local favorites including bratwurst, fish, and the state’s famous cheeses, such as Cheddar, Colby Jack, and brick cheese.

EXPERIENCE

Connect with local and international students on campus through programs and events such as Cultural Coffee Hours, the annual International Banquet, and the Global Buddy Program. Take advantage of the La Crosse Friends of International Students program, which provides you with the opportunity to foster cross-cultural relationships with a local family. Immerse yourself in the great outdoors surrounding La Crosse by hiking Grandad Bluff, camping at Perrot State Park, or paddleboarding on the Mississippi River. On the weekends, check out the farmers markets, downtown art walks, and music festivals featuring local artists.

Volunteer

Give back and make a real impact by participating in optional volunteer opportunities. Through UGetConnected, get matched with service projects that align with your interests—like helping at animal shelters, museums, nursing homes, or youth programs like the Boys & Girls Club.

What We Love About La Crosse

The friendly community, year-round cultural events, and endless outdoor adventures make this the perfect place to study, explore, and thrive.
